Tipperary Golf Club

Our golfing season got off to a great start last Sunday when we had our annual Captains drive in.  The weather was perfect and all 18 holes were open.  Up first was our Lady Captain Sheila Lowry who hit a great drive down the middle, not to be out done our Captain Joe Considine split the fairway with one of the longest drives seen.  Then over 100 members played a very enjoyable scramble.  After the scramble all the players enjoyed hot food in the club house.  A great evening was had by all with a fantastic atmosphere in the clubhouse.   Our Winter sweeps are still continuing and we had a good crowd last week.  We gave out four vouchers the leading score was 27 points by Richard Ryan and you needed 25 points to win a voucher.   Our full golfing season is starting on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of February, starting with the Moloney foursomes.  You can pick your own partner.  Time sheet is available on-line.  Results: Winter Sweep Week Ending 5/2/12 Winners: Richard Ryan (10) 27pts.
